Molten Chocolate Lava Cakes

Rich chocolate cake with a gooey molten center that flows when you cut in — made in ramekins in the air fryer in 10 minutes. Restaurant-worthy dessert with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Dark chocolate
good quality — at least 60% cocoa
4 oz
Butter
4 tbsp
Eggs
2 large
Egg yolks
extra yolks = richer, gooier center

Powdered sugar
⅓ cup
All-purpose flour
just enough to hold it together
2 tbsp
Vanilla extract
½ tsp
Salt
pinch
Cocoa powder
for dusting ramekins
1 tsp
Vanilla ice cream
for serving

Chef tips

💡Grease ramekins extremely well and dust with cocoa — sticking is the number one way this recipe fails
💡10 minutes exactly — longer and the center sets, shorter and the outside is raw. Time it precisely.
💡Invert immediately after 1 minute rest — waiting longer sets the lava center and you lose the whole effect
